I've had this happen with an nforce motherboard, if you have an nforces motherboard updating chipset drivers should fix it, or, go into Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device manager and click on IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLER, most likely under here anyone with an NFORCE 1, 2, 3, 4 board will have Nvidia Nforce* ATA CONTROLLER - pick update driver and pick NO and pick Install from List then DON'T SEARCH and in the list you should see all the Nvidia items and STANDARD DUAL CHANNEL PCI IDE CONTROLLER. The disc is in the drive and i cant figure it out because if it's not in there the game will not even start. if i close bfv completely and restart it it works fine for the first time connecting to a server.then the same problem once i try a new server. every time i get a message saying please insert one of the battlefield vietnam discs. the problem comes up after i leave one server and try to connect to a different one. When i launch bfv everything works fine (legal copy, no mods, no no-cd crack.all stock) i can connect to a server and play as long as i want. i've googled the problem and can't come up with an answer. I know this is a really old game but i hope somebody can help.
